Ingredients

 - ½ lb
 - 1 cup diced onion
 - 4 cloves garlic (minced)
 - 1 cup diced green bell pepper
 - 28 oz crushed tomatoes
 - 6 oz tomato paste
 - 2 cups water
 - 3 tbsp granulated sugar
 - 2 tsp garlic powder
 - 2 tsp dried oregano
 - 2 tsp dried basil
 - 1 tsp onion powder
 - ½ tsp cayenne pepper
 - ⅓ cup Parmesan cheese
 - 1 lb thick spaghetti
 - Kosher salt & black pepper (to taste)

- Cook Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti until al dente, then drain and set aside.
 - Brown: Heat in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown sausage and ground beef, breaking up the pieces.
 - Sauté Veggies: Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
 - Build the Sauce: Stir in tomato paste, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, and cayenne. Mix well.
 - Simmer: Deglaze with water and crushed tomatoes. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes, allowing flavors to deepen.
 - Finish & Serve: Taste for seasoning, then toss cooked spaghetti into the sauce along with Parmesan cheese. Mix well and enjoy!
